Yesterday I went down to Diss to a polymer clay jewellery workshop run by Sue Heaser. I had a fantastic time and came back clutching one of Sue's books and with my head buzzing with ideas. I just need to organise myself to try one thing at a time. I now know I have to have a pasta rolling machine - it makes life so much easier.
There were just three of us at the workshop which made for a lovely intimate day and I really felt that I'd learnt a lot. When 5 o clock raced around, I could have done with much more time. And of course I forgot to take my camera!
Anyway here's a an example of my first pieces made with a polymer clay cane. Usual blurry photo, I'm afraid. Caning is such fun and now I've actually made a simple flower and leaf cane the possibilities it's opened up are endless. I can't wait to place an order for some new colours and get cracking.
I also know now one of the things I'm going to make for Latitude and how to develop my anti-slavery idea and there's a bracelet I can see in my head and I need to thread the fabulous beads I made yesterday and I want to try a bangle if only I knew how and, and, and.......
....and those wonderful swirly bi-cone beads, and flattened lentils and hearts.....
....and mixing media of silver and polymer clay..... argh I'm off to explode!

Congrats on your first cane! It's a wonderful hobby, I hope you enjoy more of it. Your cane is beautiful.

It looks lovely - and I completely recognise the feeling of ideas exploding into your head. There's never enough time to complete them all!

Very pretty, and such happy springlike colors.
To answer your question about photos from the Dead Sea, I didn't take many of the actual hotel/spa/getaway (and the ones I did are full of people who don't want to guest star on my blog - the nerve LOL) but there will be several more florals and scenery shots in the days to come :).
