It is a slog clearing a house - especially if it's at long distance. We made so many trips to charity shops last Saturday!!!!

I have a similar mountain of household linen from two houses we've cleared in the past year (MIL and OH's Aunt). Apart from thinking of doing a carefully selected car boot pitch...
how about using the embroidered napkins to make a large 'patchwork' bedspread. Or cutting them up and using them to make lavender bags etc

I would be very tempted to sell them, people are eager to get their hands on things like these so you might make some extra cash.

I'm so pleased that the show went well and that you are planning a repeat.

I agree sell them.
Great to meet you on Monday.

I've been through it too! Your post made me smile, I have a draw full of almost identical napkins. I couldn't give them to the charity shop, but I can't think of what to do with them either.

They are very pretty!
So many things to do with them....
Perhaps have yourself a girlfriends tea party and go all out girlie!
Sell them. Cut them up and use the pretty edges as trim. Make some sachets. Make some baby bibs. Little girl in your life? Make some baby doll clothes....
Good luck to you :)

Thank you everyone for your comments. I'll do a follow up post in the next couple of days with my thoughts on what do do. It's good to know I'm not alone with this problem.
