Today is Blog Action Day and I registered to take part so I really must do something. This year's topic is food. The idea of the day is for bloggers to highlight global issues about food. The way some parts of the world are starving while other parts throw perfectly good food away.
I was going show the criminal waste of food in our local apple orchard where I walk the dog every day. Usually they pick the apples for juice but this year the apples seem to have been left on the trees to rot. I don't know why. It seems strange as only recently the company, Groveland Apples, had a big spread in the Eastern Daily Press about what a wonderful job they were doing making juice from the orchard.
However I didn't get up there today to take a photo so instead here is a slow worm eating an earthworm.
Well the topic is food!
Maybe they ate getting paid more by th EU to let the crop rot! You read about that happening.

Shame about the orchard. I found out recently that we have several local orchards that are run for the locals. I must remember that next year when I need apples.
