Polystyrene heads and a wet felted hat

Thank you for all your comments on my last post. They are really helpful. I think I can see my way through it all. I'll raid the garden for twigs at the weekend and try out a display.

I also invested in two polystyrene heads for my hats. I'm really pleased with how they show off the hats I just wish I could justify buying more heads. Here are a couple of shots of one head with a hat. I'll show off some more over the next few days.


At the weekend I knuckled down to making some scarves as well and managed to do three. I am beginning to wonder though, why do we put ourselves through this?

That hat is something else, I love it! The colours are perfect. I think you put yourself through it because you are driven to make beautiful things.

Beautiful hat! I agree with the previous posts, you need to make beautiful things and you want to share them for a price of course! We all want and need to make a living ( not that I seem to manage it, but I live in hope)

The head looks great wearing the lovely hat... if you want to customise the head they look great collaged with scraps of paper - old novels or picture books and vintage fashion magazines are good sources ;-)
