My friend at Bailey Hill Bookshop sent me four of these birds cards as a thank you for some Facebook work I did for her and because I admired them so much. They arrive flat and you just fold their wings and tails out.
I liked them too much to part with, so I've used them as decorations in our dining room. They gently turn around with the heat from the woodburner. I'm not sure if I'll take them down when we put the rest of the Christmas stuff away or not.
On closer inspection I found they come from a company in Norwich called Art Angels and are by Mark Hearld. Art Angels looks like a good place for those print makers among my readers as it claims to be currently considering new works and invites submissions.
....and chickens?
Well I think finally 2012 may be the year I get some chickens again. I have earmaked a shady space at the bottom of the garden that is redundant now I have moved the compost bin. So If I spend the next month or so clearing it up then I should be ready to get some feathered beauties in the spring.

I am a fan of Mark Hearld's work – great birds! I'd keep them up. I once worked with Chris Cordingley of Art Angels – when I worked in Norwich we used to digitally print his new work for him to take to trade fairs to take orders from. I'm not sure my current work is what he is looking for, but I might send him some samples to see.

I'd keep them up. I'll look forward to reading about the chickens when they arrive. Have a happy healthy and creative new year!

I would leave them up all year, they are so pretty.
Good luck with the chickens, I hope you do get some.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Fiona
I think you should definitely keep your birds up. I have put mine in my mock conservatory overlooking my loony chickens who are chomping through my former garden and making it what my neighbour calls the farmyard. It will soon be either chickens or garden but at the moment they have a stay of execution.
Art Angels are brilliant. We sell all their cards and we go through them at an amazing rate. They also sell furninshing fabric in the Angie Lewin etc. designs.
Happy New Year.
