This was a bad year to embark on the sky scarf project as the weather has been so bad. Here's how it looks going so far. It isn't really wider at the start - that's just the fault of the poor photographer!
As you can see grey is predominant colour. I can't believe how dreary it's been this year. There was a spell in March where everything turned blue and we got out the garden table and chairs. How silly were we? They've not been used since.
I now have to order more grey wool!
Over on Super Gran you can see how Jaqueline's scarf is coming on.
And on 11am Hawthorn is getting on with her scarf as well. She has decided to put in yellow for sunshine and break the yarns off at the end of each row.
I find it fascinating to see the difference in the three projects.
Grey here too. Grey, grey, grey. I'd be tempted to put in some silver threads for the rain!

Yes, well, I've not done much knitting of said 'grey' scarf as finding all the grey wool a bit monotonous! Will post photos soon, been busy knitting a shawlette as a birthday pressie but can't post that until after the event!
Your scarf is looking very good - and long!

Is this one of those projects that seemed a good idea at the time? We did the same with the garden furniture, oh well blue skies must be on their way, she says trying to sound optimistic! And despite all the grey the scarf does look good.

It is fascinating how our sky scarves are progressing. Yet again though I shall be knitting the dark denim and grey for today. It has to change soon there can't be much more rain up there, surely??

It has just started raining - again. I am so fed up with it, I really need some sun. I shall have a look at the other sky scarves and hope that it won't depress me further...
